Akshita Makhija is a 24-year-old Mumbai-born artist known for her vibrant and intricately detailed temple paintings. Her work is deeply inspired by Indian heritage, spatial perspectives, and the emotional power of sacred structures.
With a background in science, Akshita once considered paths as varied as scientist, mountaineer, classical dancer, and trek leader before finding her true calling in art. This diverse curiosity continues to shape her creative voice, bringing both precision and wonder into every piece she paints.
Through Strokes Art Studio, she creates deeply personal, hand-painted artworks that celebrate stories, emotions, and meaningful moments. Perspectives and architectural forms excite her most. Every painting is crafted to be more than décor. It is meant to become a lasting heirloom that quietly holds the memories it represents.

Strokes Art Studio was founded by Akshita, the studio’s Founder and sole Artist, whose work is recognised for its emotional sensitivity and narrative depth. Over time, the studio evolved from live event artworks to focusing exclusively on commissioned paintings and original passion works, allowing every piece the time and attention it deserves.
The studio is managed by Darshan, who oversees the business, client experience, and creative direction. This ensures that Akshita’s work is presented, commissioned, and delivered with the same care with which it is created.
Akshita and Darshan are now married, and together they run Strokes Art Studio as a contemporary fine art atelier, where creativity and intention are treated with equal importance.
